Hudgell Solicitors has increased its presence across the country by forming an alliance with top Barristers’ Chambers 12 King’s Bench Walk, London, which also has a Bristol Annexe.

Hudgell Solicitors, which serves clients across England and Wales from its offices in Leeds and Hull specialises in claims for personal injury and medical negligence. As part of the new alliance, 12 King’s Bench Walk (12KBW), which has over 75 Barristers to call upon, is creating an expert team of Personal Injury barristers to work exclusively with Hudgell Solicitors and its clients.

Neil Hudgell, managing director of Hudgell Solicitors, said: “Our client base is expanding across the country and this new professional relationship with 12 King’s Bench Walk means that we can offer immediate access to some of the country’s best barristers. Our business is expanding rapidly and the alliance with 12KBW is part of our strategy for growth.”

Both 12KBW, which was the Chambers & Partners Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence 2010 Set of the Year, and Hudgell Solicitors share a commitment to providing the highest levels of client service. Accordingly, in addition to casework they will be sharing best practice and on-going professional development training.

Graham Johnson, Senior Clerk at 12KBW, said: “12KBW has enjoyed a long professional relationship with Hudgell Solicitors and it seemed the natural step to enter into a more formal arrangement by offering a strong team of our award winning barristers who possess the specialist skill sets crucial for the high value work that Hudgell Solicitors have.

“As we have our annexe in Bristol and members of the team based around the country we realised we could offer the often advantageous service of meeting the client locally rather than expecting them to travel to Chambers.

“With the extremely high standards rightly demanded by Hudgell Solicitors, we can see this relationship benefitting both parties in this time of transition of legal services.

Hudgell Solicitors has enjoyed a similar successful relationship with Leeds-based Kings Chambers for several years and this will continue.

In recent months, Hudgell Solicitors has purchased personal injury files from North Yorkshire-based Williamson Hill and the personal injury and clinical negligence caseload from former Peterborough-based Carters Solicitors, which was also a member of the Quality Solicitors network. During 2011 Hudgell Solicitors also bought three other practices outright.

Neil Hudgell adds: “We’re interested in talking to any firm which wishes to sell individual files, caseloads or the entire practice.”
